Ramadan Appeal (2009/1430)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

In this blessed month of Ramadan, we would like to bring to your attention the prayers and support which are much needed for our brothers and sisters who are in the Prison system. This is a time of mercy and forgiveness as well as an opportunity for us to make a difference.

Donations are very necessary for provisions needed for Ramadan and the rest of the year. Please help us support them in increasing their iman and
to be steadfast in their deen.

Donations will be used for:
Food for Iftar, Islamic items such as miswaak, Kufis, hijabs, supplication books such as Reflections of Pearls and Prayers for Forgiveness, Qur'ans in Arabic and with English translations and other bespoke goods needed depending on circumstances. With your assistance, we may even be able to give them a small gift for Eid.

None of this work can be done without the support and hard work and efforts of the Imams, please keep them and their families in your duas also.

May your Ramadan be a blessed one, and may Allah accept all our worship. Ameen.

Thobe Appeal

Do you have any spare thobes?

We are collecting thobes for brothers to wear at Jumu'ah prayer. Some of them own only prison issue clothing, and often don't have a clean pair for Fridays.This discourages them from attending Jumu'ah.

We will accept thobes that are brand new or used but in very good condition (washed and ironed, please). Preferably in Medium or Large, they cannot have a hood.
